Biofuels are fuels made from any life form
Biomass can be turned into biofuels through a number of processes:
- Fermenting sugar from plants
- converting starch to sugar
- Converting cellulose to sugar
- Converting biomass to synthesis gas, (syngas), by pyrolysis, then on to a liquid fuel
- Growing a plant to produce oil
- Growing an algae to produce oil
