LED lights compared

LED down lights

I tested a few LEDs and found the brightest LED was the BrightGreen 10.5 W. It gives out 720 Lumens, the same as a 50W quartz Iodine downlight. There is only one model, 3000oK, with 60o beam angle. It costs about $50 and ina kitchen with lights on 4 hrs per day will pay their costs in 2 years on electricity savings alone.

The Philips Master LED is also good with a little less light and a range of angles and colour temperatures. Teh cost is $35 and will pay back its purchase cost in 1.5 years based on electricity savings alone.
